Work At Home Moms. Aren’t they wonderful! They’ve given up their former careers or sometimes just their lives as a simple Stay at Home Wife in order to raise their children. While not all women are able to do this, those who are should be considered blessed. Some WAHMs have chosen, as their “at home” profession to make cloth diapers. Some of them have Etsy stores, some are on hyena-cart and some people are ambitious enough to actually form their own sites. While a lot of these women don’t have as big of a supply as the commercial brands they can sometimes be the best diapers out there.

Benefits
The benefits of buying from a WAHM store are many. For many stores, you can get your diapers customized by their creator. With only one employee in each company, no one does piecework, so the entire diaper, from start to finish, is made by the same person. Once they are made, every diaper is VERY well inspected. Add that to the fact that you will be helping out another mom, which is always nice, and you have a package deal that tends to work beautifully.

Detriments
A Work at Home Mom does have the problem of distractions with kids, a million orders to fill, and keeping her house in order all at the same time, but most of them take their work (and consequently your diapers) very seriously! I think that one of the most detrimental things about a WAHM diaper is the possibility of having animal hair or cigarette smoke in the household. Most WAHMs will tell you about any of these problems though, and most have devised ways of fixing these problems for their customers. Either way, The prepping and stripping you do to any diaper before using it would alleviate any of these problems.
