OK, I know this isn’t a MAJOR issue, but Cloth Diapers are just CUTER than disposables!

Seriously. I made my own and I have one with a patch on the back with the Phantom of the Opera. How cool is that. When you buy disposables, you basically get white….. Maybe a little blue and maybe some cartoon characters if you go more expensive, but they’re basically white. How boring is that! There are a lot of kids who like running around in just a diaper when they’re at home, and the plain white of disposable diapers just makes them look like they’re not wearing anything. When you’ve clothed your kid in a cloth diaper, and a t-shirt its pretty much a full outfit for summer or around the house.

I’ve seen cloth diapers with patterns of ducks, lizards, cartoon characters. If you use flats or prefolds, they’re white, but the covers are all sorts of colors. Very rarely these days will you find that you have to dress your kid in plain white diapers.

Also, because of the way cloth diapers are made, they generally end up fitting the kid better than disposables. They fit snugly around the waist and don’t have the overlap of material that is just kinda ugly Parents are more likely to force the kid into pants when they’d rather be running around in just a diaper.
